We know that you can't help waiting to see the latest pictures from the greatest Uevent of the year. Per all your numerous requests we post UICC 2013 pictures on our forum so that you yourself can see the happy clients and their sincere smiles! Enjoy!
So, where do we begin our report for those who weren’t able to make it but wish they did?

Well, first of all, we would be to thank everyone who did make the
effort to attend. Thank you, guys (and ladies, of course), for all your
support and we hope that you learned (at least something new) from
listening to the conference speakers, had fun at the dinner reception
hosted by Tom Dreesen and TATI, enjoyed the food, and had your questions
answered by the members of the UInvest team!
To those who didn’t get a change to attend, here is our report.DAY 1. Personalized meetings at the Beverly Hills Office
es, you heard it right. It is a real office. Not the virtual one (although
the company we rent our offices from does have quite a few of those
for home-based businesses as well. And yes, we do share our
receptionists with several other companies that are located on the same
floor – so, don’t ask us the same question again).

The day started bright and early – at 9:00 a.m. (ok, maybe 9:00 a.m. is not that early, but for those travelling for over 12 hours from overseas, to get up at 7:00 a.m. to prepare for a meeting was quite a challenge). With an Italian delegation arriving first, Eugene Rubin (UInvest CEO) and Vladimir Marchinsky (The Head of UInvest legal department) lead uinvestor meetings all day non-stop till 5 p.m. hardly having any time for a lunch break. The uinvestors finally had an opportunity to come and meet with the UInvest executives face-to-face, have their questions answered directly, vocalize their concerns, and offer their suggestions. The meetings proved to be a valuable opportunity for a truly open long-waited dialog
Day 2. The Conference Event at the Beverly Hills Crowne Plaza Hotel
The attendee registration and breakfast started as early as 8 a.m.
Eager for the event to begin, uinvestors were waiting at the door
starting at 7:30 a.m. With the wonderful breakfast (thank you, Sinai
Catering!) and assistance of our lovely and helpful staff to jumpstart
the day, uinvestors were welcomed by Eugene Rubin – the CEO of UInvest
International.

In his speech, he covered the issues of UInvest future, its strategy,
and plans for new online features as well as addressed questions from
the attendees during the Q&A session.

After Eugene’s introduction, David Marlett, the president of National Crowdfunding Association, spoke on the topic of Crowdfunding Re-Evolution.
A dynamic speaker and experienced professional, Mr. Marlett flew in
from Texas to bring his valuable expertise to the table in sharing his
experience in the crowdfunding field and vision for the future
Shortly after, uinvestors had a refreshment break where they had an opportunity to take pictures, chat with each other and prepare for the upcoming speeches.

After the break, Peter Matthies, Founder of Conscious Business
Institute, fascinated the audience with his presentation about the Conscious Investor
discussing multiple examples of businesses that became successful
through their mission not only to make a profit but also to make the
world a better place.

The next speaker, Doron Basha, CEO of the Basha Group and a 25-year-old
luxury branding industry veteran, spoke on Spiritual Currency and
significance of making money in a selfless vs. selfish approach. His
presentation provided food for thought to attendees to think in a higher
realm and focus on a bigger picture in earning money vs. looking at it
as a routine survival task.

During lunch, Brenda Vivian, our charming MC of the day, had an
opportunity to interview the speakers and the UInvest conference
attendees.

After lunch, uinvestors welcomed Vladimir Marchinsky, the Head of Legal
Department of UInvest International, who spoke on legal aspects of
UInvest activities and addressed uinvestor questions in a Q&A
session that followed the speech. Mr. Marchinsky had emphasized that
the UInvest program was not currently available to the US investors,
however, the new crowdfunding model was being developed to meet all the
legal and procedural requirements of the US Securities and Exchange
Commission

To support the UInvest educational crowdfunding initiative, Richard
Rappaport, the CEO of WestPark Capital – the investment bank that last
month announced a consulting relationship with UInvest – came to speak
at the conference. He briefly introduced himself and the members of his
team who came to the conference, spoke about his experience in the
industry, and the mission of his company. Mr. Rappaport’s main
presentation focus was on Raising Capital in Emerging Markets, which fit
very well into the conference agenda considering that this is exactly
what UInvest specializes in. After his presentation, Mr. Rappaport took
time to meet and greet uinvestors and answered their questions
regarding WestPark’s collaborative initiative with UInvest.

The last presenter – our keynote speaker of the day – Brock Pierce, who impressed the attendees with his wit, experience, knowledge, expertise, and professionalism in spite of his young age, spoke about the Rise of a Private Investor. His main thesis was to demonstrate why today it is more lucrative to invest in private companies than ten or twenty years ago; the benefits and risks associated with investing in private companies and trends for the future. Mr. Pierce analyzed ten top private companies that got their financing from private sources vs. institutional investors and shared his enthusiasm about UInvest’s projects.
After a long day of presentations, the UICC 2013 attendees had an hour break to rest and get ready to enjoy the dinner reception.
When they arrived to the Del Rey Ballroom of the Beverly Hills Crowne Plaza Hotel, they were greeted by the enchanting sounds of the voice of the lovely TATI and her musicians who provided a wonderful dinner atmosphere to all attendees.

At the dinner reception glimmering with candlelights, uinvestors were presented with gifts: a CD with the new UInvest corporate song recorded by TATI in honor of the company’s 5th anniversary and eco-friendly sports bottles to encourage a healthy lifestyle. During the reception, TATI introduced the song where the members of UInvest staff and the attendees were invited to sing along. The song was accompanied with the UInvest birthday cake (yum!)

The highlight of the evening, however, was definitely the legendary Tom
Dreesen and his motivational speech on the power of positive thinking.
Known for his comedy, in the past few years, Tom has been feeling a
calling to segway to motivational speaking using his exceptional sense
of humor to deliver the message more effectively and inspire audiences
around the world. “I have known Tom as a comedian and was really
looking forward to meeting him at the conference, but his motivational
speech exceeded all my expectations. This time it penetrated my heart
and I could relate to everything he spoke about. I feel very inspired!”
said one of the conference attendees.

Although the event was scheduled to be over at 8:30 p.m., it was so much fun that no one wanted to leave. One could see the attendees everywhere: in the ballroom, in the hallways, by the media wall taking pictures. Some of them got a chance to be interviewed by the lovely Brenda… Time flies when you are having fun!

Day 3. Personalized meetings at the Beverly Hills Office

The Wednesday meetings took place in a more relaxing atmosphere. By then, many attendees made friends with each other, exchanged information, and previously got to chat briefly with the UInvest executives. During the meetings, Eugene and Vladimir addressed specific questions brought up by uinvestors.
By the end of the day, all of us had a feeling that we became a closer and more understanding community whose relationship is built on trust and mutual respect.
We are looking forward to the next conference and thank everyone who made the UICC 2013 event possible!
